Aimee K. Gunther has been the Program Director of the launching Quantum Internetworking Challenge Program at the National Research Council of Canada (NRC) since April 2025. Previous to this, Aimee led similar a NRC collaboration program to become a key national voice on quantum sensing, first as Deputy Director, then later, Program Director. From 2018-2021, Aimee was a Scientific Advisor for Quantum at Defence Research and Development Canada where she co-authored Canada's first departmental quantum science and technology strategy, for the Department of National Defence. Aimee has PhD in quantum optics from the Institute for Quantum Computing at the University of Waterloo, Canada.
